Welcome to Dress Riot!
These Terms & Conditions explain the rules for using Dress Riot, including creating an account, sharing content, following other users, creating Pages and Groups, and interacting with the Dress Riot community.
By creating an account or using Dress Riot, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Dress Riot.
Dress Riot is a social platform for people to discover, share and connect around fashion and accessories.
Dress Riot allows users to create profiles, share content, follow and interact with other users, create public Pages, and create or join private Groups.
We may add, remove or change features from time to time as Dress Riot develops.
You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating your account and for keeping your login details secure.
You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.
You must not:
impersonate another person, business, organisation or Dress Riot administrator;
create an account using someone else’s identity or information;
use another person’s account without permission;
create accounts for deceptive or fraudulent purposes; or
deliberately provide false information to mislead other users.
If you believe someone is pretending to be another user or a Dress Riot administrator, please report the account to us.
Your Dress Riot profile represents you on the platform.
Information and content you choose to make public may be viewed by other people, including people who are not members of Dress Riot.
You are responsible for deciding what information and content you choose to share publicly.
Please do not publish personal information about yourself or anyone else unless you are comfortable with it being publicly available.
Dress Riot Pages are public spaces that can be created around fashion and accessories.
Pages and their content may be visible to anyone and may appear in areas such as the home page Runway and Explore sections.
By creating a Page, you are responsible for the content you publish on it and for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to use any images, text, logos or other material you upload.
Dress Riot Groups are private spaces for people to connect around shared fashion and accessory interests.
Group content is intended to be visible only to members of that Group, subject to the way Dress Riot’s features operate.
Creating or joining a Group does not give you permission to use another person’s content outside that Group.
Group creators and members are responsible for following these Terms & Conditions and any additional Group rules.
You may post photographs, images, text, comments and other content to Dress Riot.
You remain responsible for the content you post.
You must have the necessary rights or permission to upload and share content on Dress Riot.
You must not upload or share content that:
infringes another person’s copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights;
contains another person’s private or confidential information without permission;
is fraudulent, deceptive or intended to mislead;
impersonates another person or organisation;
promotes illegal activity;
contains malicious software or harmful code;
is threatening, abusive or intended to harass another person;
is hateful or targets people based on protected characteristics;
contains sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate material; or
violates these Terms & Conditions or applicable law.
Dress Riot may remove content that we believe violates these Terms, our community standards or applicable law.
You retain ownership of the original content you create and upload to Dress Riot.
By uploading content to Dress Riot, you give Dress Riot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain and promote the Dress Riot platform.
This licence does not mean that Dress Riot owns your content.
You can remove content you have posted where Dress Riot’s features allow you to do so. Removing content may not immediately remove copies that have already been shared, cached or otherwise retained by other users or services.
Content posted by another user belongs to that user or the person who owns the relevant rights.
You must not copy, download, reproduce, sell, redistribute or use another person’s content outside Dress Riot without appropriate permission or a legal right to do so.
If you believe your copyrighted material has been used on Dress Riot without permission, please contact us with details of the material and the relevant account or content.
Dress Riot allows users to follow and interact with other people.
Following, admiring, liking, commenting, sharing or otherwise interacting with another user does not create any official relationship, endorsement or affiliation between you and that person.
You are responsible for your own interactions with other users.
Please use caution when communicating with people you do not know personally.
Some official Dress Riot administrator accounts may display a verification tick.
The verification tick is intended to help users identify official or trusted Dress Riot administrator accounts.
The tick should appear in the designated location next to the relevant account name.
A person claiming to be a Dress Riot administrator who does not have the appropriate verification mark should not automatically be treated as an official administrator.
If you believe someone is impersonating a Dress Riot administrator, please report them to Dress Riot.
Dress Riot is intended to be a welcoming community for people interested in fashion and accessories.
We encourage users to:
respect other members;
keep discussions constructive;
respect different styles, tastes and opinions;
give credit where credit is due;
ask permission before using someone else’s work; and
report content or behaviour that appears to violate these Terms.
Disagreements are part of any community, but harassment, threats, bullying, impersonation and deliberately harmful behaviour are not acceptable.
Dress Riot reserves the right to review, restrict, remove or disable access to content, accounts, Pages or Groups where we reasonably believe they:
violate these Terms & Conditions;
violate applicable law;
create a risk to Dress Riot or its users;
involve fraud, abuse or impersonation; or
otherwise threaten the safety or integrity of the platform.
We may take action without providing advance notice where we believe immediate action is necessary.
Where appropriate, you may contact us if you believe content or an account has been incorrectly restricted or removed.
If you see content or an account that you believe violates these Terms, please report it to Dress Riot.
When reporting an issue, provide as much useful information as possible, including the relevant username, Page, Group, post or other content.
Dress Riot may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.
Dress Riot does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.
Your use of third-party websites is subject to their own terms and policies.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep Dress Riot available, but we cannot guarantee that the platform will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
We may temporarily suspend or restrict access for maintenance, updates, security reasons or other operational reasons.
Features may also change, be removed or be replaced as Dress Riot develops.
Dress Riot does not guarantee that content posted by users is accurate, reliable, suitable or trustworthy.
Opinions expressed by users belong to those users and do not necessarily represent the views of Dress Riot.
Dress Riot does not endorse every person, Page, Group, post, comment, image or other piece of user-generated content appearing on the platform.
You are responsible for your use of Dress Riot and for the content and activity associated with your account.
You agree not to use Dress Riot in a way that could damage the platform, interfere with other users’ ability to use it, or expose Dress Riot or its users to unnecessary risk.
You may stop using Dress Riot at any time.

seriously or repeatedly breached these Terms;
engaged in fraudulent or abusive behaviour;
impersonated another person or organisation;
threatened the safety of other users;
used Dress Riot for unlawful purposes; or
otherwise seriously harmed the Dress Riot community or platform.
Where appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue before taking action.
Some provisions of these Terms may continue to apply after an account is closed, including provisions concerning intellectual property, user content, liability and disputes.
Your use of Dress Riot is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information.
Please read our Privacy Policy before using Dress Riot.
Dress Riot may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
When we make significant changes, we may provide notice through the website or another appropriate method.
Your continued use of Dress Riot after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
The date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were most recently updated.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

Slurs, hateful stereotypes and content intended to promote hatred or discrimination are not permitted.
You don’t have to agree with everyone — but you do need to treat people respectfully.
Dress Riot is about sharing fashion and discovering different styles. Criticise an outfit if you want, discuss fashion and have opinions, but don’t turn disagreements into personal attacks.
If you see behaviour that you believe violates these Community Standards, please report it to Dress Riot.
We may remove content, restrict accounts or take other appropriate action when these standards are breached.
Dress Riot is a fashion and accessories community, not an adult or sexual-content platform.

Fashion photography is welcome, but fashion, modelling or artistic intent does not make otherwise prohibited sexual or explicit content acceptable on Dress Riot.
Any sexual content is strictly prohibited and may be reported to the appropriate authorities where required.
Dress Riot may remove content that violates this rule and may suspend or permanently remove accounts responsible for serious or repeated violations.
